  7. Mar 29,  · Remove the tape from the cassette compartment. WARNING! There is a risk of hardware damage when you force to remove a stuck tape from the cassette compartment. Use a pen or pencil to turn the cassette reel and reduce tape slack. Reinsert the tape into the cassette compartment on the player. Attempt to play, fast-forward, or rewind the tape.
  8. The fast forward button snaps back as if it's reached the end of the tape. When there's no tape in the deck and I hit fast forward, I can hear and see the wheels spinning, at standard fast-forward speed. It's just when a cassette is in there that it refuses to feed the tape through. Rewind works just fine. No problems whatsoever there.
